“Chicago Fire” is an NBC’s forthcoming television series produced by the creator of “Law and order” Dick Wolf and the creators of “3:10 to Yuma” Michael Brandt and Derek Haas. In addition, executive producers also include Mat Olmstead, Joe Chappelle, Peter Jankwski and Danielle Gelber. The show will premiere on NBC on Wednesdays 10:00/9:00c.
The series concentrates on the lives of The Chicago Firehouse 51 firefighters who are highly dedicated to their profession. Even though they know that being a firefighter is dangerous and hard, they take pleasure in doing it. These brave team members do make a difference when it comes to rescuing lives, when no one seems to care.
The very fact that the firefighters’ job is very stressful, hints that there are many contradictions among the team, but none of them irreconcilable. Despite the fact that all team members from the Rescue Squad and the Truck are put under extra pressure, they still remain a family whose only aim is to help people in need. Unfortunately, when a tragedy takes the life of one of them, there’s plenty of blame and guilt floating in the air.
Lieutenant Mathew Casey, who is in charge of the Truck, hopes to make peace with what has happened but he soon comes into conflict with the audacious Lieutenant Kelly Severide, the leader of the Rescue Squad. In addition to this situation, Casey is in the middle of a breakup with Hallie.
The firehouse as well includes Christopher Herrmann, a veteran who loses his home due to foreclosure, Battalion Chief Wallace Boden, a fireman who deals with important personal matters, Gabriela Dawson, a paramedic and her partner Leslie Shay, who join forces to face together tormenting situations, and Peter Mills, a fireman of a family of firefighters.

Jesse Spencer, best known for his role in “House”, assumes the role of Lieutenant Mathew Casey, the lieutenant who is dealing with relationship problems, while trying to get over the loss of one of his fellow men.
Taylor Kinney, also known for his role in “The Vampire Diaries”, stars as Kelly Severide, the brash and audacious lieutenant who butts heads with Casey.
Charlie Barnett, also known for his role in “Man in Black 3”, plays the role of Peter Mills, an academy graduate following his parents’ footsteps.
Monica Raymund, who has also appeared in “Law and Order”, stars as Gabriella Dawson, the reckless paramedic who will always help the others in need.
Lauren German, famous for her role in “A Walk to Remember”, assumes the role of Leslie Shay, Gabriela Dawson’s partner.
Eamonn Walker, also starred in the TV series “Lights out”, plays the role of Chief Wallace Boden, who deals with important personal decisions.
David Eigenberg, also known for his role in “Garfield”, stars as Christopher Herrman, the veteran who loses his home due to foreclosure.
Teri Reeves, who has appeared in “Rules of Engagement”, assumes the role of Hallie, Casey’s love interest.
